Our Business Values

Our business is about helping our Customers to obtain best solutions for their business.

We aim to be an Employer of Choice, to make a positive contribution to our local communities and, where possible, to minimise our impact on the environment.

Our Business is driven by the following principles, our standards of conduct, which govern the way we work with each other and with our customers:

  • The Company’s Reputation is Sacrosanct
  • Customer Satisfaction is Paramount
  • We behave with absolute integrity, honesty and fairness in everything we do.
  • We aim to deliver solutions of the highest quality and to achieve consistently satisfied and delighted customers, whatever the challenges.
  • Strong Leadership Drives Continued Success

We believe that the quality of our leaders today and the development of our leaders for tomorrow are essential to sustaining our competitive advantage. We promote teamwork, trust our colleagues and value good performance.

  • Our Staff Are Our Most Valuable Asset

Our ambition is to bring together talented people, who enrich each other’s creativity and technological expertise taking genuine pride in being part of our company, in order to better meet our customers’ needs. Originality, creativity, commitment, professionalism and performance are the fundamental values informing every aspect of our work.

We incorporate elements of our Business Values and Visions into internal processes such as account management and creative and digital output, ensuring that they are the backbone of the organisation.

Our Employees & Potential Employees

Proteus very much wishes to be recognised as quality employer attracting the most talented and passionate people.
Spearheaded by our Managing Director we focus on making Proteus a better place to work. We aim to keep people happy by ensuring they are well managed and motivated.

Training

We actively encourage and support staff through training as we see the benefit for us, our clients and our employees. We supply online training systems which are available to all staff both internally and externally.

Health & Safety

We have a responsibility to each of our employees to create a safe and healthy environment in which to work. Our people are our most important asset and, with that in mind, we have developed a comprehensive Health & Safety (H&S) Policy and procedures.

The objectives of the policy are to:

  • Provide adequate resources to comply with legal requirements and maintaining safety standards;
  • developing management systems that will allow us to maintain, monitor and, where necessary, improve our safety performance;
  • instituting and maintaining a system for the assessment of risks;
  • providing information, instruction, training and supervision to employees of all levels to ensure that work and business decisions are undertaken safely;
  • monitoring safety performance and taking action where it falls below expected standards;
  • ensuring that the safety responsibilities employees have are clearly defined;
  • fulfilling our duty of care to contractors, visitors and members of the public;
  • ensuring that places of work and work equipment for which we are responsible are, maintained without risk to health; and
  • recognising that health and safety is an integral part of any business.

We expect employees at all levels:

  • to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions (including colleagues, contractors and visitors);
  • to co-operate on safety matters to enable us to fulfil our obligations; and not to interfere with, misuse or wilfully damage anything which might compromise the interests of health and safety management.

We believe in open and honest communication throughout the organisation, with clear lines of escalation. To help ensure consistent communication across the organisation we have a yearly to review including regular discussions and briefings.

Recruitment

We are an equal opportunities employer and only employ people based on merit.

Rights

We respect our staff and expect all employees to treat each other, clients, suppliers and partners with dignity; we do not tolerate harassment, discrimination or bullying of any type within our workplace and have policies in place that manage and address any issues of this type.

We have clear job profiles that are in line or exceed with the rest of our industry, in terms of remuneration, working hours and responsibilities.
